A little bit of conjecture on my part but here's my thoughts on that matter.
>hundreds of years ago Necrozma gets sent to our universe through an Ultra Portal
>the tapu's are said to have battled the UBs that appeared then and just barely held them off
>Necrozma having no idea where it is and having it's shit beat goes into hiding
>after hundreds of years it's Ultra Portal energy boost has gone and it's now considered a legendary pokemon
>Lusamine opens a bunch or portals to summon more UBs
>Necrozma senses the rise of Ultra Portal energy and desperately wants to go home(The same energy that makes UBs target Fallers)
>sensing a surge in power it jumps out only to see the player (after the events in the story you are now a Faller and give off that energy)It's probably going to be expanded on in the future
