Now that NB is kind of dead, is there any other community that top VGC players are? Smogon only has a few, and I don't know of many others.

DV smeargle is not legal anymore, only Darkrai can use the move DV, along with the move getting nerved to 50% acc.

Look on the NB forums. all it is is newer players asking what is good, and twitter is social media, I was asking about an online community, such as a forum.

I really do get the feeling VGC is going to die down again after a few years of growth. It's reached the point now where it's incredibly intimidating to new players, given
>Rapidly increasing entry fees
>Necessity to attend huge numbers of events to be successful
>Community trying to form a celebrity culture where new players are treated like shit
>at least last year, an intimidating metagame which many players felt would take too long to get the Pokémon for without hacking

Between TCPi handling everything like shit and the players more focused on sucking each other dicks than to play (but only if you are part of the NB clique) it's not surprising.

The Pay2Participate aspect is completely egregious this year. Unless you literally win everything in your home-country you are forced to go at the Internation Challenges overseas and the big majority doesn't have 2k bucks sitting there just to go and play Pokemon.
