example is that ORAS happens a few months before RBYG, where he loses his memories and then gets them back to do the giovanni gym raid, goes the Johto immediately due to a lead, then calls it quits and checks out Sinnoh
Pokemon never has proper time spans and only says shit happens after a few years or so, so i don't doubt this is their retarded way to add months to the fray
