How is it overkill? Like I've said, the only broken user of it is Mega Mence and his uber stats. Just because an ability is good doesn't mean it's "bullshit", "broken" or something.

Even as a bugfag I think they went overboard with the Gale Wings nerf. It should've been changed to only give priority to status moves, or stop working lower than 75%.

The first change would at least keep bulky Talonflame (Bulk Up/Roost) viable, while the second one would make it a decent lead (SR kills it, or it has to switch in on something it can force out even without priority to get a Roost in)

It's not necessarily going to stop -ate moves from becoming really powerful, but it tones them down slightly to the point that they can be managed a bit better.

Megamence doesn't care for this nerf. Return will always be a strong option for it, but this nerf gives it a better reason to run Double-Edge.

yeah I never really understood why they got a boost like that. I guess for very weak pokemon who need the amazing ability to compensate, it's cool. But on a good dude, it's overkill.
