It's actually pretty cheap to live in a motel. Most places will give you discounts for a long-term stay, since the room would probably be unrented otherwise.

I ended up cutting a deal with a few places for staying there for extended periods of time. My problem was that I didn't have enough money to pay for utilities or first month's rent on an apartment since I was making some money but not enough to save anything. Keep in mind these were shitty motels, not some nice hotel where the people running it give a shit.

There's no stability. They can kick you out literally any time they want since it's only supposed to be temporary housing. Living on the streets is rock bottom. I had about a month where I didn't have any place to stay and it was all I could do to make it feel like I was on a camping vacation. Though thankfully I had a gym membership so I was able to stay fresh and swole.

Yup. Even if you've just been released from prison and have no job experience, there are still programs you can get into to earn a living. I've seen apartments that go for only a few hundred dollars a month, which you can make in 2 weeks at a minimum- wage job.

Guzma was abused by his father and rejected by the island traditions like most of the Skull members. Lusamine was the first person who recognized his ability and gave him something to work for. They were rebelling against a system that didn't acknowledge them at all.
