The seaweed is the actual Pokemon.
It just uses the anchor as a tool. That's why it's not steel type, but it gets steel STAB as its ability.

Decidueye has a clear advantage over this thing with its access to recovery. Expect to see Decidueye + Magnezone + Dugtrio trapping shenanigans in OU. Especially with Trio's buffed attack.

I see Decidueye being RU/UU, but it has a really go niche in OU for being surprisingly good against Stall. I see Decidueye and Dhelmise being heads and tails. Decidueye being good for fighting Stall and supporting teammates while Dhelime can fight offensive better. Both having a little bleed out for both strategies's mons.

it's weak to fire, ice, dark, ghost, and flying. most water types carry ice coverage and most electric types carry ice coverage. knock off is also pretty common coverage on fighting types. it wont be a terrible Pokemon, but it won't be OU

The only ice coverage most Electric types carry is HP ice. Their move pools are so shallow it's sad. And plus, it's still better than Celebi's typing, which was OU for a time in Gen 6.

Decidueye = OU, eventually banned to ubers after tutors like what happened with greninja, Ash-Decidueye will make him even stronger still

Primarina = UU, will drop to BL2 by the end of the gen

Incineroar = RU at best, even after tutors

zapdos runs heatwave and life orb Thundurus hits pretty hard. I'm not gonna do the calcs but I assume hpice off of 252 spatk Thundurus 2hkos. I was thinking about making a shipwreck themed team with this thing once the bank updates. It could have Dragalge and Jellicent Spriritomb to reference the drowned crew because it was at Sea Mauville. Something like Thundurus/Tornadus/Zapdos to be a storm at sea, or Avalugg as an iceberg. Maybe Dragonite because it rescues people from wrecked ships.

I don't know, maybe it's dumb, just seems like it might be a fun theme.

The reason why not OU is Decidueye relies too much on items due to too balanced stats whereas the anchor just needs to lockdown the right target and will absolutely murder them it's sad but true
