Yes, I got my Comet Shard. I still don't get Game Freak and their ghost fetish, they are in all Pokémon games since Gen I:

Gen I: the white hand and Marowak's ghost.

Gen II: house in Route 5, when you press A button on the door it says "here lives nobody, this house is abandoned".

Gen III: I can't remember.

Gen IV: the old man and the girl in Old Chateau.

Gen V: the abandoned house outside of Lentimas Town.

Gen VI: the Hex Maniac that says "you're not the one".

I believe it depends on when you got the demo, I got my comet shard yesterday, and it was two days later than it should've been because adjusting my 3ds clock 1 hour for dsh was enough to fuck up the timing in the demo.
