You can use JK's Save Manager on a hacked 3DS or homebrew enabled 3DS, to import and export save data for games, regardless if it's digital or physical.

Use it ASAP to extract your current Moon save, then copy the extracted save off the SD card to your PC or something.
You may need to borrow said hacked 3DS to import the save back to the physical copy when you get it.
