Plenty of people are starting their journey on a console series that they would've otherwise cast aside, all thanks to Pokemon SM, or similar well-received games that get people pumped. It makes no sense for those people to fuck themselves over by buying an inferior console that a decent chunk of people just happen to be stuck with or aren't willing to buy a new version of.
