Bottle caps don't modify IVs

They merely give you the stat of a perfect IV but the actual value remains the same
So it's better to bred for normal 'mons and just restrict the Hyper training to legends/UBs

Bottlecaps is cool for retaining Hidden Power and passing down specific IVs since it only checks them as perfect, but won't pass down when bred.

Yet, you'll want a 6IV Ditto to save time. Without a doubt.

Because breeding is faster than leveling pokemon up to lvl 100 and bottle caps aren't common.

Breeding becomes exponentially faster the more you do it because your stock of high IV parents grows.

If they're that hard to get then it'd still be easier to bred for the IVs, plus you need to raise the pokemon to level 100 in order to use hyper training.
