Why does night lycanroc look so much better in fanart?

It looks like shit in artwork and game model.

Only its main official artwork looks like ass. It's 3D model and and secondary art are much better as you can notice that it's hair and waist spikes are actually rocks. Most fanart keeps making the hair look less rocky.
