Wait what? I'm just saying I'm sad they're still going the lazy route by just handing the pokemon to you instead of handing you an item which unlocks an in-game event surrounding the legendary where you can catch it yourself.

In the case of a movie event, the code would give you the event item.

This is why Masuda's Azure Flute explanation is bullshit. Not only is the Azure Flute barely complicated, the Regis are much more confusing to a kid.

As someone whose first game was Ruby, that justification is absolute BS, given that they have you a Braille sheet with R/S that specifically said you would need it to catch certain Pokémon.

Even then, though, it was still pretty easy

On the other hand, as long as you know to go to the Spear Pillar, idk why the Azure Flute is "complicated"

I think the Gen III games had it in the box or manual. I don't remember though, because I only looked at manuals the day I bought the game but never again. I suppose by the time I got to the Regis, I didn't remember I had a guide.
