As has been said, he's not against the game leaking and being datamined, he just can't risk posting things until the game is released.

Serebii.net is his main source of income, if he lost that, he'd be fucked royally. It's the right choice for him to stay on Nintendo's good side.

Joe Merrick had an early copy shipped to him, but was under contract not to release any info to the public until the release.

So he typed up all the data and posted it on Serebii only after Nintendo gave the OK. I don't see much wrong about that.

Underage confirmed. He's been datamining for quite some time, at least gen 4 and 5. He couldn't for 6 because the 3ds wasnt cracked yet.
