>>30007545It's almost impossible to be 10 levels under the trainers you find, even with expshare off.
You will have to try to avoid most trainers as possible, while skipping a good portion of the game, since it has lots of optional things to do, like the battles against Captains and rewards for players that want to explore. The game also shower you with items, to the point you will feel like a Harvest Moon bachelorette, you will pretty much never need to buy anything on the shops outside of pokeballs.
Unless you cripple yourself in every way possible, while limitating the way you play the game, it's not possible to have a challenging experience in a game like this.
