In OU it bacially helps you against Ferrothorn and Garchomp, while Chesnaughts ability blocks Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, Seed Bomb, Focus Blast, and Aura Sphere. Almost all of them are extremely common. Also let's compare the effects: not taking 20% % of damage when using Sucker Punch and Leaf Blade against mons that you can just hit with the Spirit Shackle vs. being completely immune to one of the most common moves in the game.
I doubt Decidueye will be anything higher than RU, but I guess the meta just started so we'll see in a month
