Poison I can kinda understand.
But Rock type???? Seriously, what the fuck?

Is there some kind of justification in-game or is it "just coz"?

The only explanation I can think of is that the website mentions it has a glass-like body and glass is made of heated minerals, almost all coming from various rocks/sand. The poison typing beats me though.
