Just had the Wishiwashi fight, ended up being really fun and even cinematic
Started off with Mudsbray, knew he'd fall but figured he'd get a hit off at least, which he did
Followed with Wingull, who used Air Cutter to start whittling down the totem and get rid of the first Wishiwashi add... then the totem summoned an Alomomola and things got dicey.
First turn it was out it Helping Handed the totem who then hit with a rain boosted Water Gun. Wingull critted with Air Cutter which helped, but next turn Alomomola used Healing Pulse, putting the totem back to about 2/3rds health.
Wingull got off one more Air Cutter and put down the Alomomola, but then fell, the totem on a bit over half health and my last pokemon being Torracat. Against a water totem in the rain.
First turn I use Bite in hope of a miracle flinch, and it happens! I go for another one, but no second flinch, instead a Water Gun puts Torra on to literally one HP remaining!
The totem is on about 1/3 health. I know bite won't finish it off, the strongest hitting move I have on my Cat aside from the fire ones is Acrobatics. I hit and... the totem survives. Water Gun.
"Torracat heard your warning shout and jumped out of the way!"
Cleaning and feeding my pokemon after battles with Refresh paid off big there. One more Acrobatics and its over and the Water Z Crystal is mine.
It honestly felt like something out of the anime, really looking forward to the other totems now.
