I'm shocked at this point that the game even lets me move my character around as opposed to just sticking me on a conveyor belt as they spoon feed me cutscene after cutscene after cutscene.

Serious, why so many cutscenes? Would it make it obvious how minuscule the islands are bland the islands are if we were able to move about them for freely?

I used the rare cafe in the festival plaza to level my Litten to 16. Turns out if you level that way, you don't learn moves. I'm now stuck with ember as my only fire move for a long fucking time.

XY has 457 pokemon,it's was horrible.
SM has like 294 `+ 8 UBs (That are postgame anywway) 457/72 is much worse than 294/81

I think they should make the regional dex a bit bigger than platinum 230ish or so if they are introducing 80 new pokemon or so.

I turned my exp share off as soon as I got it but I'm seriously considering turning it back on. My Pokemon just don't have the stats to sit in a battle and take hits from what can potentially be a never-ending supply of Pokemon for half an hour.

If you're patient and just enjoy the game for what it is, it's really not bad. It's a game for kids, after all.

More fun than XY in my opinion, each location was sorta important. Online features aren't as well done as XY, but the Rotomdex navigation is pretty useful. Some characters are pretty obnoxious. Cutscenes, maybe a bit long, but nothing horrible. Villains aren't obsessed with destruction and are generally likable. Pokemon are really slow this time around, but since everything else is slow, whatever.

It's been the iron for 5 and 6 to a degree. The only difference is 5 and 6 had two rivals to lessen the blow. It's not like Calem or Cheren were particularly hard either.

My biggest gripe is the rotomdex. If you're going to give me the quest, don't immediately tell me what to do again.

Well, as a Fire type, you have a strong physical hitter with decent Defense made even better by Intimidate that can't be burned. Also, Dark types are immune to "Prankster moves" now, that's gotta count for something, right? Although I'm not sure how that works. Does that mean Dark is unaffected by ANY non-damaging move, or just the ones used specifically by a Pokemon with Prankster?

Last time I checked, Chesnaught wasn't a Dark type. Look at any physical Dark type's moveset. Their utility begins and ends with Sucker Punch + Knock Off. They're practically worthless without it.

After beating it the first time around, yeah...relatively barren, postgame-wise.

Even X/Y had the Safari and, dare I say, the Maison. Omega Alpha fucking had all the legendaries except the event-only ones AND islands AND secret bases.

This barely has anything except new pokemon. It suffers the same problems as XY with its new pokemon.

If we're meshing gens, then 6+7 made like 140 new pokemon.

Imagine the Battle Maison. Now get rid of Triple/Rotation battles, but sprinkle in a few more trainers from old games. That and the Looker quest is basically everything with the bonus that comp training has gone to shit again and all the online features are locked behind menus. I genuinely cannot believe I'm missing gen 6.
