I was grinding levels outside the volcano and didn't once find a female. I wasn't specifically looking for one but I would have caught it if one appeared.

Must have had about 20-30 encounters total with 10-15 salandits. Are the gender %'s skewed?

I actually got timid lizard by accident but that's another story. Would it be faster to breed them? At least then you're guaranteed Salandit and can pass a nature down
