Hopefully GF do something for Garchomp in the next games, because it makes no sense to have such a glaring case of inequality in Pokemon. Give Garchomp Dragon Dance so that Flygon and Garchomp are on equal standing.

80 at +1 isn't too shabby. Boomburst, Draco Meteor, and Fire Blast also have high BP to compensate. Earth Power can also drop special defense.

The thing is Garchomp is basically hand crafted to be good like Aegislash was. It is so consistent it doesn't require anything more. It has something for each of its main counters, it's stats are great it can pull off a few different roles on a team and he keeps being useful in spite of new Pokémon being added. Hell if anyone was due for a nerf alongside Gengar and Talon it is Garchomp

I remember a XY interview with Morimoto (?) and he complained about Kangaskhan and Grachomp being used too much on Battle Spot. Then in SM they nerfed Kanga but did nothing with Garchomp (unless you count the turn order fix as a nerf). The dragon bias is 2 strong.

True, his stat distrubtion is probably the best in the game or something, it don't get much better than that. But I think this gen he might be outshined by the new horse, who does the 'bulky stab EQ' role better.

Garchomp can still go mixed. Its a physical ground type that isn't completely neutered by Intimidate. Its the only thing it has over Lando-T.

I guess the life lesson is that it doesn't matter if you deserve something or not, all you have to do is to throw a loud enough tantrum at Gamefreak's general direction, and Gamefreak will bend over for you.

In this case, the cancerous Flygonfags cried enough that Gamefreak listened (even when they shouldn't) while Garchompbros got jackshit even though they're all around decent and mature people.

I only wanted a Mega after thry were introduced. Before i just wanted DD because the only boosting move Flygon had is Hone Claws. I didn't want him to become some unstoppable monster, just one move it should have had since the begining.

They're just taking a break before this gen's remakes in order to push Z-Moves and Alolan Forms. They're great for marketing and merchandising so there's no real reason to stop making Megas.
ORAS had a ton of shit that made it so everyone had to switch to that game if they wanted to play competitively, despite being in the same gen as XY.

Garchomp was born with a fucking silver spoon in his mouth though. He got banned to Ubers in his original Gen for being too good and well rounded and he has yet to really be dethroned.

Pidgeot can use 121 speed round 1 but it still has a shitty normal stab, no coverage moves, and it's ability is still a two sided sword for it.
