I'm trying to edit Moon in PKHex, will JKSM work? I've heard people had their saves fucked when they injected it back in.

JKSM has 0 chance of fucking up your save file. The ways people are fucking up include:
1. Injecting Pokemon through PKHeX using .pk6 files
2. Editing secure values of their save using PKHeX
3. Porting their Sun/Moon save to Moon/Sun without changing the time offset and version using PKHeX
If you plan on editing your save in any way, make a copy of your save on your computer beforehand. Otherwise, you're in no danger
