Getting tired of soft resetting, and everyone on showdown quits before 3 turns are up when I test it there

I'm trying this:
Mild @ Assault vest (considering swapping)
Volt Switch (setting up raichu)
Dazzling Gleam
Brave Bird (get rid of bugs for raichu)
Thunderbolt (might switch this or gleam for nature's madness)

I get the impression that Adamant/Jolly might be the way to go here, but what are you guys using?

Also, do you have any suggestions for my set, or should I try something else entirely?
