Gen 6 was the only generation I ever EV trained, and that's just because Super Training was a thing.

Wild Pokemon have a chance of calling for help like the totems

Give them an Adrenaline Orb and they will call constantly

You can kill whatever it summons, and it will keep summoning, the longer it goes the higher chance of it having a hidden ability and being shiny will increase. It will also give more EVs

Is there a good guide on where to find Pokemon yet? I want a Pikachu, and I'm in the first city in that patch of grass you cross after getting the Poke Finder.

I can't tell if it's rare and I'm unlucky, or if I'm just not in the right spot.

Is there a way to transfer pokemon from one save file to another save file in Sun and Moon yet? Something like Pokemon Homebrew Bank?

I want to send over some late-game pokemon eggs from my Lurantis Moon game to my physical cartridge. Or will I have to put my physical cart in another 3DS and do this via a local trade?

Grab alolan diglett with ability that slows opponent when hit.

Use it first.

Switch into Salandit with dragon rage. Use it a couple times.

Use revives if necessary.

You get more coupons. I'm not sure if it's each day, each week, or when you beat the E4, though, but you can get them. The prices are only lower with the coupon, but just do all your shopping at once and it's great. The current Thrifty Megamart is perfectly legit and a great way to get free premier balls. Their first location wasn't so lucky, however.

Pikachu will only show up when a Pokemon calls for help (Though Pichu is a bit easier to find. Go to the patches of grass right by the entrance to Iku town, or certain patches of grass in the first city).

scan 1, it gives you pokedex data for that pokemon
scan 10, a random wild pokemon from pic related will be somewhere on your map, and you can go catch it
i've heard if you faint it, a new one will spawn. but if you catch it, definitely that will end it. so if you want a certain nature or gender, you might want to soft reset.
you only have an hour to find said pokemon, and it can spawn somewhere you havent been yet, so be careful. might want to do it on an island you have completely explored.

You can't start a chain with a Pokemon species other than the one that calls for help. You're out of luck even if there is.

I'm 90% sure it doesn't, actually. Only ending the battle somehow/leaving only a Pokemon other than the species you're chaining breaks it.

How the fuck am I supposed to outspeed Braviary with alola mons? It just ripped trough everything with Brave bird and set up a Tailwind before dying so Incineroar could just finish the rest of my party.

i've heard the no exp share arguments before, but i just don't think its for me. ultimately the games aren't hard because... gamefreak just didn't make them hard. they gave every trainer 1 or 2 pokemon. story mode just isn't going to be that difficult.
i like EXP share (and i respect those that don't), because i can catch a pokemon and get it pretty quickly leveled up without having to grind and swap pokemon.
idk do you feel over leveled at all? because i definitely am but idk if the trade is worth it.

not really. they have some more colour choices, but the orange from X/Y was removed.

there's only 6 cuts and one of them is dreadlocks, which is about the only interesting one

clothing isn't that great, either. the colourful pieces mostly only go with their sets, the glasses accessories are too big for the characters, the shoes all look retarded and there's barely any variety when all the clothes are summer themed (which means a very large amount of tank tops, some t-shirts, some polo/golf shirts and then a the highend clothing store has button ups)

There are tons of areas to encounter 'mon even discounting the different encounter possibilities per route. You can get two teams worth more or less by the end of Island 1, so I'd say you stick to the area (i.e. when your screen shows you the little name card at the entry of an area).

Each route has a table stored in game that has all the Pokémon you can encounter at that route and their levels, as well as a percentage of finding them. This is translated into the tables on Serebii and whatnot.

I wanted to stick some reserve Pokemon in the day care to gain levels while I play through the main game, but apparently that doesn't work anymore. Can I do that with Isle Evelup, or do Pokemon only gain EVs there, not levels?
