I boxed Solgaleo as soon as I got it, and it really made me think: when was the last time any of you guys used the version mascot in your party?

For me it was Palkia in Pearl.

I've never actually used a version mascot in my party (except for the Pikachu in Yellow), and I've played at least one game in every gen since Yellow dropped back in the day.

I think I maybe used Giratina for 10 minutes in Platinum, but that was basically just to see what the hubbub about Origin Forme was, and it was in postgame.

Under logical circumstances you wouldn't just give a new Trainer a powerful, fully-evolved Pokemon. Lillie plays by the rules and doesn't want Nebby to oneshot everything.

Excluding BW, it would be Gen III. Whenever I wanted to level a pokémon up to 100 I'd create a full team of legendaries (groudon, kyogre, rayquaza, mewtwo and lugia) and just Exp Share the Kanto E4 until I was finished.
