What Pokémon other than Ditto can breed with the most other Pokémon?
Wondering who the best candidate is to catch with the apricorn balls in Sun/Moon, now that balls can be passed down by the male as well.

Technicallyu speaking, in human reproduction, balls can ONLY be passed down by males because they are capable of donating the Y chromosome while the females will always donate the X chromosome.

It's probably something in the Field group since it's immensely huge.
Second place used to be Water 1, and it probably still is.
From there you can chain breed to almost anything, I believe.

With the notable exceptions of all genderless pokemon, I should add. Just catch a Ditto, it'll save you some headache.
Or inject more balls if you must.

Gamefreak wants you to suffer for your balltism.
Why else would there only be one (1) of each Apricorn ball and only fifty Beast Balls available in the game?
Besides, doesn't Ditto's catch rate depend on what it transform into? It shouldn't be too hard to get a high percentage of success catching if you bring a False Swiper.
If not, get resetting.

That was removed in Gen V.

I thought it's only passed down from the male if you breed it with a ditto.
So you still wouldn't pass down the pokeball to a different type of mon.
Or does it randomly decide between the male and female?

It doesn't? I just heard genderless pokemon could now pass balls and assumed it was true for Ditto as well.

The only way a genderless Pokemon can breed is with Ditto. So it wouldn't make sense for both those things to be true.
It's the mother or non-Ditto parent now i believe
