This shit gives Xerneas a 100% free geomancy while offering nothing in terms on support to your team. If you take Rest + Sleep talk only two slots are left and It's super unlikely to waste one slot with glare.

Also just add the 4x ice weakness.

Every uber team has xerneas unless it has some other powerful sweeper but there's only arceus. Then there's diancie which probably will be huge(even if darkrai got nerfed).

Kyogre has Ice beam. All drakes got Draco Meteor or something better. Oww and did i forgot to say It's a non fire type physical attacker hmm now you know It.

Chansey neither has a 4x ice weakness nor common fairy and dragon weakness. The typing + speed tier is shit as fuck every decent elo uber player knows how to play around Zygarde and will even deny you to get into 100% form.

Thousand Arrows / Extreme Speed combo hits every single pokemon in the entire game neutrally or SE except for Shedinja. In fact, Thousand Arrows itself hits everything except Grass and Bug types not paired up with a Ground weak second type at least neutrally, and the majority of Grass and Bug types played competitively are so paired up. (Ferrothorn, Scizor, Venusaur, Amoonguss, Forretress, Volcarona etc etc.)

Glare is a fantastic way to weaken a check or counter. Put Zygarde out against something that doesn't hugely threaten it to force a switch, and Glare them on the switch, and then switch out and set up later after you've taken out or significantly harmed that check. It's a dangerous bait, and only electric types are immune to it, and electric types generally do not want to stay in front of Zygarde barring crazy mind games.

Otherwise, once your opponent's ice users are sufficiently weakened, plop Zygarde out there, Dragon Dance once, and then sweep. You'll outspeed base 135's even after changing to Complete Forme, and for faster enemies or priority users you've got Extreme Speed.

I see it getting played in OU. That said, the whole Chansey comparison is crap.

Terrified of it getting in Ubers because default that bans Zyg50, and Zyg50 is one of my favorite mid tier mons to use. Zygundam being Uber would leave it disadvantaged in Ubers since it BARELY qualifies, but it would also make Zyg50 literally unusable.

Being a Zyg50 fan is suffering.

Zyg50 without Power Construct and WITH Thousand Arrows sounds very balanced (but stupidly fun) to me. Sadly I play Showdown, which seems to ban a Mon absolutely even if only one ability makes it OP. Like how Blaze Blaziken and Torrent Greninja are still banned.

According to Smogon, a pokemon is uber if it walls a significant portion of the metagame.

Toxapex fits that description to a T. Unlike Chansey it's not THAT passive because it still has the option of fishing for burns with Scald spam.

It seriously has no counterplay.

It can live non-STAB SE moves all day and it will just switch out from obvious OHKOs coming from ground, electric and psychic types. And thanks to Regenerator it will likely to recover all the lost health by doing so.

Want to Taunt it? Hope you don't get burned by Scald.

Want to use it as setup bait? Lolno, Haze.

Want to trap it? Physically defensive variants can survive 2 EQs from most Dugtrio variants, and even then Scald completely fucks it up.

The only way to deal with Toxapex is by using some unconventional bait/lure set with a surprise Taunt or Z-move.

Zygarde arguably does better against Primal Don thanks to it's resists and STAB Ground.

It's actually the opposite. Zygarde is shitting on most of OU

yyou can't switch in flying types because of Thousand Arrows. 216 base HP with 125 defense makes it Dragon Chansey and can survive most ice mudes due to having so much HP. Zygarde is now easily one of the best OU mons and it wouldn't be suprising if Smogon Suspects Power Construct after certain things get quick banned first.

You basically win with this thing the second any special STAB Ice user is weakened and/or dead. Pretty much the only thing that gives it a hard time at the moment is Toxapex, and even then Toxapex loses if it doesn't have Haze.
