Does each call for help lower the shiny rate? Also if it does, does it reset if you kill the pokemon that has called for help?

you defs 100% can. you just have to leave a pokemon that you started the encounter with on the field.
i.e you can have a munchlax and a snorlax on the field and kill the munchlax and keep going

I've had it appear as early as 15

I even managed to get HA galvanize on a shiny geodude around 35

Some like Vulpix are super easy to tell
Others like Galvanize Geodude you need to do some skill changing fuckery to make absolutely certain

In most cases you can check with moves like skill swap
The Carbink on Poni island have it, so you could transfer it to a smeargle that way

so supposedly each SOS'd mon will have better IVs than the previous mon, up to a maximum of 4 31 IVs. i think people said this starts at AROUND 40 chained kills.
i don't have the IV checker yet, but i have caught both shiny and HA pokemon by chaining them.
you can definitely kill either the summoner or the summoned monster.

Yes.
I got my HA Eevee by chaining, and I sincerely doubt it was by coincidence that it also had 4 perfect IVs.

I've heard people say guaranteed 4IVs at 30. Also in my little experience I typically get 1IV after like 3 chains.

It's a base increase like ORAS dexnav hunting. SOS Pokemon all have that increased Shiny chance. The first one called has the same chance as every one that comes after. You can kill either, it doesnt matter because, once again, ALL SOS POKEMON have a base increased shiny chance

The summoned ones are just 1/512 like dex nav, the chain means nothing outside of IVs (hyper train) and HA which is valid
