Because if you actually played competitive Pokemon, or ANY competitive game for that matter, you'd realize how tiring and frankly boring it is to face the same 10% of characters over and over in a game while 90% remain unused.

In a free-for-all metagame the teams rapidly grow to have 2-3 staple Pokemon, with the rest being selected from a pool of 10-15 mons at best. Kinda boring.

Sounds like that's something Smogonfags has to learn to accept and tolerate, because literally every competitive fighting game ever only sees up to 4 characters used max in a single tournament, and other competitive game genres similarly also has a very low amount of characters used. For example, DotA only see up to 20 characters used in a single tournament, Counter-Strike only see about six guns used, Starcraft pretty much devolves into spam of one or two units, three if you're lucky, etc etc.

That's competitive gaming in a nutshell. You can't ban shit.

from what I've heard zygarde complete has had a more threatening presence than any of the UBs, the tapus, and the mons that got reintroduced to OU from last ten, which is definitely saying something
