it's not nihilego who looks like lillie, it's lillie who looks like nihilego because lusamine wanted her to looks like it and she also changed her looks to look like pheromosa

I thought she had Gladion installed with some device that made him hurt whenever Type:Null did to engineer their link.

She likely knew it needed a strong bond to become a functional anti-UB weapon, having Gladion "escape" with it then go work for her underling was just as planned.

Gladion could be artificial himself.
