I'm thinking about getting into online matches. But I've never played online before so I'm not really confident in my team choice in pic related.

I'm pretty dead set on having Turtonator on my team, but I don't mind switching out the others.

Just play in low tiers/with people from /vp/ and you'll be fine.
Stay away from the "real" competitive scene, matches there are just glorified math problems.
I'm a little more autistic than most and I've spent the last few hours trying to breed a Snubbull with half-decent IVs and now I've got a box and a half full of nicknamed Snubbulls, but for a first-timer you shouldn't really worry about stuff like that. Just play and have fun, and if you decide you like it, then maybe try your hand at learning stuff like EVs/IVs. I suggest your pokemon at LEAST have not-horrible natures, though. I'd recommend going to /wfg/ occasionally. Multi Battles are loads of fun.

"Competetive" pokemon is a pretty shit meta. Don't take it super serious and have fun. Being turn based pokemon is a horribe game for competetive.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. But at the same time, I can't in good conscience use a horribly made team.

Basically, I want my team as a whole to be functional. Like if my team has a glaring weakness to ghost type or something, I would like to know that so I could change my team based off of that.

In other words, I'm fine with my Turtonator not being as tanky as someone else's, since that would take a lot of effort to fix, but I'm not fine with my team having a glaring weakness, sine that would be easy to fix.
