Egg moves are the most reliable to consistently breed since they're 100%.
Nature and Ability are also rather easy to breed.
Get those 3 right first, after that worry about IV.
I'd really advice you to read some guides about it though.

A-Muk (poison touch) and Salazzle are both quite useful as poison/toxic on a totem pokemon makes the fights so much easier.

The only priority is if anything does get passed down at all with the designated hold items. As for order of breeding, aim for the nature (ability too if you want HA) then the egg moves and finally work for the IVs.

Blow all your money first, then just keep rushing at them until your mons are leveled up enough to get over them. Don't even look at it as failure, it's hell of a lot more economical

Longer since there's a lot more side stuff to do, and a lot more low encounter rate mons if you're catching everything.

I'd imagine just as short if not a little shorter if you blitz through a playthrough with knowledge of what's coming up.

Flamethrower is near the end of Vast Poni Canyon, Thunderbolt is in Poni Plains, and Shadow Ball is off the coast of the Abandoned Supermarket.

So basically all three are in the last third of the game, with Flamethrower and Thunderbolt being particularly late.

When you get the plaza up to rank 8, which is 210 FC I think, you get to ask your guests about the shops in their plazas. They randomly pick one shop to tell you about and for a certain amount of FC you can put it in your plaza. But yes, it's random. Getting anything decent in the Plaza relies almost entirely on luck.

What is the deal with this line? I have literally every other Pokemon in my collection but how is it possible to have every form of this line at the same time?

Like I've got the Lunala from the story and I understand you get another Cosmog in post-game, but they can't be bred. So that leaves two forms in the line that you can't have at the same time. And I can't imagine people are just giving away Cosmog/Cosmoem/Solgaleo on GTS for anything outside of that line.

Has Nintendo fucked my collection up or am I missing something?

Yes, it uses Gen 5's EXP scaling. So you get a crapton if you're a lower level than what you beat and piss if you're a higher level than what you beat. Keeps all of your Pokemon nice and even but makes it nearly impossible to level after you beat the League.

Depends on how much you like Pokemon. The game is front-loaded with story so if a lot of cutscenes at the start sounds off-putting to you then you might not like it. The game itself is a lot better than XY/ORAS, though it can be frustrating trying to get some of the new Pokemon since their encounter rates are hilariously low.

Swap rockruff for Stamina Mudbray. It can learn rock moves through TM and also learns heavy slam later on if you're looking for steel move. It also learns EQ naturally but learn a slightly weaker attack than EQ (which is its signature move) pretty early.

I'd recommend Ligtning rod A-marowak for the last slot but you'll stuck with shit moves until late game though.

I don't understand this EV training Pokemon Pelago island.

Serebii says that it gives you 4 EV's per session so in theory 63 sessions should yield 252 EV's in a single stat.

I put in Solgaleo for 63 sessions with the speed boost drink and his speed EV's aren't maxed at the end. What a gyp.

you'll have a quicker time 32-chaining for a guaranteed 4 IV mon than finding a single Gold Bottlecap

and as for the shards to get normal caps? You earn 3 shards per 24 hours, it takes 20 for one. Normal bottlecaps give you a single fake perfect IV

Just got to Poni Island and I'm a bit underleveled. How do I quickly boost my teams level, wild Pokémon fights? Is there any way to refight trainers or a place I can power level to 40ish?

Also restaurant battles are once a day so they're no good.

The game's description says Thunderbolt I believe. Pikachu learns that move pretty late: like level 42 it should be. A-Raichu has that a relearn-able move, but the Move Relearner is at the game's final Pokemon center at the end.

thunderbolt's TM is in Poni Plains, a postgame area by the way.
