Semi new to Pokemon(at least, been playing casually since it came out, but want to fuck around now) and want to do a wonky ass team. I realize it's going to have some issues, but it sounds fun, so I want to try it.
Basic idea is to try and work all four weather effects into a team, and to have some overlap in the Pokemon being able to use, or at least tolerate, those effects.
So, I've been playing Moon, and I decided I wanted to try and do a team based around all four weather effects. I get that this might not be the best choice competitively, but it sounds really interesting. So, I've gotten this so far.
Mamoswine
Thick Fat
Hail
Ice Shard
Earthquake
Avalanche
Tyranitar
Sand Stream
Fire Punch
Earthquake
Crunch
Stealth Rock
Shiinotic
Rain Dish
Sap Strength
Sunny Day
Moon Blast
Giga Drain
Trevenant
Harvest
Substitution
Horn Leech
Shadow Claw
Growth
Lapras
Hydration
Rest
Blizzard
Rain Dance
Surf
IVs: HP, SPD, DEF
Relicanth
Swift Swim
Rock Head
Waterfall
Rock Polish
Rock Tomb
Treveant uses Sunny Day + Harvest combo to set up a sweep, Lapras uses the Hydration + rest combo, but can also use Hail for Blizzard. Mamoswine sets up hail, but can tolerate sandstorms, while Relicanth alternates between decently defensive in sandstorms while being decently fast in rain. Shiinotic sets up sun, but can use rain to be just a bit more durable and annoying.
I'm basically clueless as far as the higher Pokemon meta and the like, so it's entirely possible this is a crazy stupid idea, but it sounds fun as fuck. If I made any major errors(That aren't the concept of the team, of course), I'd be happy to hear about them.
Someone said Roar would be a major problem for this team, and I'm curious as to why. I feel like with the adaptability of the weather effects, having a pokemon swapped for another wouldn't be nearly as crippling as it could be, but again, I honestly don't know if that's true or not.
