Why the fuck did she keep making her Mismaguis use Pain Split? She let my Ariados get to +6. The fight was actually hard up to that point, then the tension just stopped.

same thing happened to me, i was switching in to sac my nearly dead mimikyu and it ended up healing me.
That Clefable can go die in a fire though, had to pp-stall out moonlight and waste a z-move trying to ko it only for it to survive and kill itself with healing wish anyways.

In the rematch her Bewear kept using painsplit on my mimikyu when we both had the same amount of health.
It did no damage or healing while I was boosting my attack with Honed Claws.

The same reason why totem Wishiwashi and his assist Wishiwashi never actually attacked me and spammed status moves.

The AI seems to compensate with higher probability of dealing secondary effects, so much so that 10% is more like 30%.
