Not necessarily. If Cosmoem decides not to exert force outside to keep itself aloft, then it shouldn't require any effort.

Work is only performed in the opposite direction of force. Ie. If the cosmoem is floating, there is a net 0 force, so if you apply a force, no work is performed

Since it's negating gravity, it should be technically weightless.

I suppose it depends on how Cosmoem actually moves. If it has full control, then it's really up to it how much it wants Lillie to work. We can't really treat it as a floating inanimate object.
