This is pretty concerning tho

it's mentioned in game that people and Pokemon have a closer connection to each other in Alola than anywhere else, so will any other set of games that takes place anywhere else go back to the old formula of HMs and Gyms? I hope they do something different again...

I think ORAS taught us that remakes fully intend to follow the original gameplay and story very closely, with most changes being aesthetics and character design.

I'd hate for HMs to return, but at the same time I do miss the bike for not requiring you to hold down B to go at its fastest. I swear why couldn't the Tauros charge just be a toggle switch?
