I once had a 3D-mode marathon vs a friend, best out of 3 rounds, about two hours fighting before we had a winner. It was great, until I realized that once I let go of the controller, my hands were so stiff I could neither fully open nor close my hands. I never had that problem while marathoning on my GB, GBA, or 3DS
Also Planet Puzzle League tops both just for the godly touch screen controls, but it's not Pokemon so it doesn't count.
