Am I the only one who played Bravely Second? Thing totally gives off ba'al vibes.

Plus the part where they come from another world, though ba'als are the corrupted memories of someone from the "real" world, so the collections of items they're based off of don't exist within the world the game takes place in.

Game is Bravely Archive: D's Report. I figure you can play it if you get the .apk or use one of those alt app stores that has jap games. There's an english guide within the first page of results.
