No one will defend it, this game could have been good, but Niantic went full retard and wasted all of their time and efforts trying to kill bots and cheaters instead of adding content and things that made the game at least a little more interesting.

It amazes me that they managed to fuck up a Pokemon game. There is really nothing complex about the games and translating the core parts of the game into a spin-off mobile game wouldn't have been hard at all.
