I found first random shiny since Emerald just now and it's a fucking Pelipper. This is the worst timeline.

Anyone else have similar stories?

Grinding nonstop horde battles until I encounter a shiny Roggenrolla. I ran into 6. FUCKING 6. Shiny Mime JR before I found one. The whole thing took a week. My friends still bring it up.

I've caught 7(?) shinies. I lost my Scolipede, Tentacool, and Joltik when my Pokemon X had a save issue and got messed up. I caught a Wingull and Mareep, nothing wrong with them. While I was looking for a sticky hold Gulpin, I found a shiny liquid ooze Gulpin, and finally in Sun I caught yet another shiny Wingull. My shiny luck really is great, and awful all at the same time.

I caught a shiny magikarp in gen 3, which subsequently stopped meaning shit when HG/SS came out.
