Some megas implies that it isn't so bad for them. M-Absol just got more fashionable, M-Stitch has a giant gem to play around, and M-Kangaroo is concern that it kid might like fighting.

Whats this argument based on? Scyther evolved into Scizor and all that happened was a stat redistribution and retyping, but it retained the 500bst.

According to bulbapedia, there are three things it takes to be a pseudo-legendary.
>base stat total of 600
>final stage of a three pokemon evolutionary line
>takes the most exp to level up
If Mega Houndoom were a regular evolution instead of a mega, it would have fit all these requirements, and become a pseudo-legendary.

If megas were treated as normal evolutions they wouldn't have +100 BST for fucks sake. Either they are temporary and one per battle with +100 BST or and irreversible evolution that doesn't raises the +100 BST. It's not that hard to see.

For me: Houndoom, Manectric, Audino, Banette, Mawile and Absol should have been regular evolutions.
Hell, even Pinsir and Heracross could have been evolutions a la Scizor, with no total BST changes but a different distribution.
