How do I build this guy? Specifically what nature do I want here. I'm looking at Adamant, and then maybe max Attack EV and max HP to make him a bruiser I guess that will make me too squishy?

I was about to make a thread about the same thing. I know everyone is saying he's garbage, but you can only catch one of them so I'm trying to figure out what nature to go for.

I've only seen people use AV special tank sets

I'd like to use Stockpile but this guy does horribly against Sub-Seed

I actually think maxing his Def and Sp. Def with a defensive nature would be pretty decent, but I dunno, maybe he's not as tanky as I think he is.

He's got a fantastic special movepool, so I went with Modest. 252+ SpA, 252 SpD, Assault Vest for coverage attacks style shit. It's still not that great though.

If a Pokémon has a huge-ass HP stat and not-so-stellar defenses, it's always better to invest in the Defense you want if you're also going Attack. So The best spread would be 252 Atk with either 252 Def or 252 Sp. Def depending on your needs. Unless you're going 252 HP/252 Sp. Def or something purely defensive like that, but I think this guy needs Attack to be a threat or else he's just a sitting duck without any recovery moves.

If you're giving him 252 EVs in Special Defense, why give him an Assault Vest too? Assault Vest increases special defense by 50%, right?
Wouldn't it be better to give him 252 in Def, then give him the assault vest in order to cover both regular and special defense?

Unless you're just maxing out his Special Defense and hoping he doesn't get hit by physical attacks.
