They banned Mega Gengar on the basis that a few of their mods bitched that it hard-checked Mega Mom, and then banned Mega Lucario on the same basis since it could one-shot Mega Mom with a Nasty Plot + Vacuum Wave.
Mega Mom went unchecked for so long while everything else got hit to Ubers since so many Mods and members of the community saw Mega Mom as "healthy" for breaking stall when what it really did was sweep half a team before it even got revenged killed.
And with how they "dictate" what is competitively "good", so many fucking lambs decide to run that in VGC leading to a lot more degenerate copy-paste teams where people had to allow the use of Primals and non-Event Legendaries to see competitive use to get rid of the staleness which was VGC 2015.
