Considering these guys grew up to become relevant roles in the sequels I don't see why not other than the point she said about going to Kanto.

I hope we get another sequel and not some shitty 3rd version with minor changes. Black and white 2 proved it was great

I'd prefer something simple, but pokemon was never about story for me, the first 4 gens barely had a story at all, I'd rather have no story and just move from objective to objective than sit through hours of cutscenes watching Lillie-sue
