In Showdown i used a team with Assist Spinda and a team with only debuff moves (V-create Victini, Close Combat/Overheat Infernape, Smeargle with wathever you want, etc) It was fun, but you need to setup agaisnt some walls or play agaisnt shitty teams in the low ladder

I been using a z-splash Poliwrath on my current rain team and it's pretty good. Swift swim and +3 is scary. Only issue atm is no ice punch.

Doesn't Contrary drop your Speed ? Also I've been Z-Sunny Day myself. It is pretty helpful with its Speed problem and free Solar Blade is always fun, but I wished it had better moves to abuse Contrary.

making gamefreak's lemons into lemonade is half of what makes the games great though, if all I cared about was winning I'd go play a pay2win FPS or some shit, the majority of fun I've had playing these games came from playing and even bonding with sub-par shit with all kinds of flaws and quirks that made winning all that more satisfying
