Why did Kukui want to make a league if there's more champions through the old method? Didn't Kukui say he wanted more people to get a chance? Wouldn't that give people less of a chance if there's only one champion?

I just realized that the Tapus are those few legendaries who don't have the same english name as japanese.

First off their shared first word is all Kapu, not Tapu, and the second word is all different. So Tapu Koko is Kapu Kokeku

the Lake Sprites from Gen 4 and genies from 5 are the only other ones

now I have to ask why
