Golisopod has 140 defense and 125 attack, and access to a bunch of priority moves like aqua jet and sucker punch. First Impression is gonna be your ace, but remember: Golisopod is NOT your lead. Use Golisopod as a cleaner; he picks off weaker opponents. Leech Life gives you recovery, and Liquidation hits hard. Remember how Emergency Exit functions; it can be amazing when used to your advantage.
Araquanid is kinda the opposite. It has base 132 special defense, and we all know by now the amazing third effect of Water Bubble. Liquidation is gonna be your main move, since it gets to 170 Base Power with Water Bubble. Leech life for recovery, Poison Jab for fairies, you get the idea. This thing eats special attacks like nothing, and can even take resisted physical attacks, too.
