Ultra Beast catch rates

Why don't they all have a catch rate of 3, considering regular pokeballs aren't meant to be able to catch them easily? Why are they so completely random and nonsensical?

Their have a 0.1x modifier if you use anything but a Beast Ball.

I thought it's always 1x for any ball that isn't the beast ball and beast balls are 0.1x on normal mons.

Only applies to Beast Balls if used on regular pokemon, the reverse isn't true, meaning that, despite lore, regular pokeballs are just as effective as normal.

The higher the catch rate, the easier it is to catch. Highest possible value is 255 (most early shitmons have a 255 catchrate), the lowest it has ever got is 3 (the value most legendaries have).

Higher is better. 255 gives you a 50/50 chance to catch the pokemon if it's at max HP with a regular poke ball.

Just finished doing some calculations, if you throw a Beast Ball at Kartana or Pheromosa on the first turn without any status inflictions or other catch-boosting things, it's a guaranteed catch. Why is this allowed?

They're the two most powerful Ultra Beasts. Regardless of how powerful they are in their dimension, lore says that our pokeballs struggle to catch them, yet it's a 33% chance to catch either of them with a regular Pokeball without lowering their HP.

The thing is that they're really looking for a way back to their dimension. Looker mentioned how they're attracted to Fallers because of their energy, so I wouldn't be surprised if a Beast Ball, containing an internal environment similar to their realm (and likely with some of the same energy) works really damn well on them.

It must dupe them into thinking its a way back and make it an easy capture.

You catch four Pheromosa and Kartana and only two Buzzwole and Celesteela.

Not sure why they did Peromosa/Buzzwole at the same phase rather than doing the 4's and the 2's at the same time in each version.

They really wanted to encourage people to trade legendary pokes in this generation. They give you at least two of every version specific legendary.

I would assume since it's weight is way over 903 lbs, it adds +40 to the catchrate.
