Unlike Celesteela Kartana has his competitive options unambigiously cut out for him; therefore, it has way less competitive discussion since people were trying to figure out what celesteela does

I guess in the process they found out celesteela was supposedly based on a princess and found her quirky design endearing.

Kartana is one of the best.

The design is amazing in everyway, and anyone saying otherwise is objectively wrong with shit taste.

Plus the unfolding animation he does when you send him out is 10/10. So fucking cute.

It kinda does. The yellow bit in the center of the face is kind of like a pupil, as it dilates sometimes. Watch some of its Refresh animations when you get one.
