>>30367639At this point it isn't about Ash anymore so much as it's more about seeing anime versions of the new region, new Pokemon, and new characters. Going on what this anon said
>>30366371>I guess it works on 20 somethings tooYes I admit the Pokemon anime is now a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't watch every new episode though, I'll only tune in when the next episode features a Pokemon I really like, new or old(i.e if said episode features a Hydreigon I'm gonna watch it) or features the new Gen evil team. I really liked how Team Skull is addressed in the very first episode rather than in the middle of the series, and I can't wait to see the anime rendition of the Aether Foundation, regardless of whether they'll fuck up certain important plot elements or not(Like Lillie's conflict with Lusamine).
However a reason I still watch the anime that I know the majority attributes as one of its most glaring flaws, is the TRio. At this point I realize that I actually like their shenanigans, most of all seeing them confront the evil teams of the new regions.
