Net Ball is perfect for Dewpider and Araquanid. The net effect looks like a spider web and there's also a burst of water when the pokemon is sent out.

Nest ball works pretty well for A-Grimer and Muk. The colors as well as the green smoke when the ball opens fit that evo line pretty well.

Heavy ball for Carbink. It's naively the Dame design but with the colors swapped

I like Love or Dive, or beast. I think Love is nice, because a love ball eevee can breed you up a nice Espeon or Vaporeon too.

I created this chart so I could map out how to use my balls wisely, I think the only thing I'm sure about is a Friend Ball Bagon.

I am trying to avoid using my balls on overly common pokemon to maximize my trade potential i.e. I really want a moon ball eevee, but I think so does everyone else, so I'm going to see where else I can utilize my moon ball so I can trade for a moon ball Eevee

I caved on Koko and caught it with a Dusk Ball.
Lele I managed to catch in a Heal Ball with the proper nature.
Koko also needed to have HP(Ice) wich made it especially hellish/

Now attempting Fini. I am sort of tempted to use the Master Ball. It actually fits the colour scheme.

Should I do it?
Using the Master Ball feels dirty somehow, but it might be worth it for the colours.

Wich means more than half of my mons are in Quick Balls.

I might try again though. I want to use a Pelipper on my comp team. What ball fits it? Dive Ball seems nice color wise.

These three were catchable in apricorn in HGSS. The reason they are listed is because they can now be bred while passing down the ball, so in that sense the market for balltism breedables now includes these three where it didn't before.

Yeah, luckily Wingulls are stupidly easy to catch.
Still, now I have some mons in proper balls, and some of them in mismatched shit. Which in turn kinda triggers MY autism, haha. Because now I kinda wanna continue the trend.

I still think I wouldn't be able to catch hard to catch Legendaries with proper balls though. I do not have the patience for that. Normal mons are way more doable.

Cherish ball would be a great fit, but y'know...Cherish balls.

Might go for something with a green animation since it sets up Grassy Terrain instantly, that might fit well together.

Wait, sorry, I think I'm misunderstanding. It says ability is irrelevant, but if you catch, say, a male rockruff in a moon ball that doesn't have the hidden ability, how would you go about getting a moon ball hidden ability rockruff? Breeding with ditto won't get you the HA, and wouldn't breeding with a female that does have the HA still prioritize the ball the female is in? Or is it straight random?

I agree with almost everything, but I do think Repeat fits Buzzwole better than Luxury. The circles on the Repeat Ball match Buzzwole's pecs, it's predominantly red, with yellow and black accents. I fear Luxury has too much black, and since Xurkitree fits Luxury better anyway, Repeat for Buzzwole ensures no duplicates.
